VICTOR CIONGA
Managing Partner
Over 20 years of experience in M&A, working for the Romanian-American Enterprise Fund and Raiffeisen Group and being part of the Board of several large companies, both as a Chairman or as a member. In 2012, he was appointed the CEO of Bucharest Stock Exchange.
A strategic advisor, Victor helped many clients anticipate trends and learn they best road to success for their projects. In his early career, as Chairman of Arctic Gaesti’s Board of Directors he oversaw the company’s journey to become the largest Romanian household appliances producer and one of the largest refrigerators producer in Europe. Later on, after LNM Holdings (today Arcelor Mittal) took over the majority stake of SIDEX Galati, Romania’s largest still, Victor played a key role in securing a smooth transition until the contract was fulfilled.
As the CEO of Raiffeisen Financial Advisors Romania and then the Deputy CEO of Raiffeisen Capital & Investment he was responsible for some of Romania’s largest M&A deals. In 2007, Victor set up AZ Capital Advisors. Since then, he completed many projects successfully. He assisted a local major bank closing a complex deal, secured EU funds for a local client, attracted equity and debt funds for one of Romania’s largest IT firms, advised UNIQA in the acquisition of the Vienna Insurance Group units.

Over twenty years of experience in M&A. He worked as Investment and M&A Manager for Raiffeisen Group’s divisions across Central and Eastern Europe. As a partner of AZ Capital Advisors, he handles financial due diligences, coordinates projects and interacts with both local and foreign investors.
He’s actively involved in M&A advisory for clients from various industries such as oil and gas, pharmaceuticals, real estate, media & advertising, IT, agribusiness and telecom. He worked directly on various consortium projects, more precisely in financial and operational restructuring schemes, including insolvency projects for local companies. Among the most recent ones stand Hampton by Hilton Cluj, Fortus Iasi, Energy Rose (Wind Mills), UTI SA.
He also worked in various, including insolvency. He has an MBA from the University of Montreal, and he’s a qualified evaluator of ANEVAR (The Romanian National Association of Evaluators) and is fluent in three languages (English, French and Italian).
MIHAI ENUICA

He has a strong expertise in strategic and operational sector assessments, business analysis and financial modeling (scenario and sensitivity analysis), feasibility studies and valuation reports, as well as in strategic business audit.
Mihai completed many financial and operational due diligences and overviews in sectors like pharmaceutics, chemical, heavy industry, telecommunication, wood processing, utilities (electricity distribution, natural gas distribution) and food. His recent projects are in the field of digital business and e-commerce. His experience also includes negotiations and deal structuring and closing.
He was a member of the many acquisition teams - on the buyer side for the RWE acquisition of Electrica Muntenia Sud, one of the largest electricity supply and distribution company in Romania; with Morgan Stanley as advisers for Intesa for the acquisition of RAEF; in the Romanian Government team for the privatization of two large electricity distribution companies, in a Consortium led by Bank of America Securities London. He also worked as International Valuation Team Leader for Serbia’s Privatization Agency, on the privatization of five companies in the automotive spare parts industry.
